WORKSHOPS
My pottery studio is a peaceful garden setting located at my home in O'Connor, Fremantle.
Learn how to work with clay in either the traditional style clay's (stoneware, porcelain, earthenware / terracotta & / or raku) or with the new technology of Paperclay
in a relaxed friendly setting, close to Fremantle and within 1 minute's walking distance of public transport.
Workshops are available for Handbuilding (7yo+), Wheelwork (12yo+), Glazing & most Firing processes.
Classes are suitable for adults, kids, waged, students, low income or concession, complete beginners, intermediate experience or experienced.
I run casual pottery classes mornings, afternoons (or evenings, if required) usually on Wednesdays, Saturdays & Sundays - other days may be available, on request.
My classes are not linked to school terms or times.
Hand-building Workshops
Techniques available to learn are: pinching (pinch pots), coil, slab, pebbles, sculpture, in relief, incising, and using slump or hump molds, or in combination with wheelwork.
Classes can be individual or intimate groups of up to 6 people (depending on numbers of people booked in for that day / time), will run for approximately 3 hrs each and include for all tools, clay and the 1st (bisque) firing.

Classes can be on a one on one basis or in a group of up to 4 people, depending on how many people book in on the day you have selected.
All sessions are tailored to suit your level of experience and will run for approximately 3hrs per session.
Usually, a complete beginner will need a least 6 - 10 sessions to become fairly proficient.
These sessions can be run more or less frequently, if preferred, eg: more than one session per week (depending on availability); fortnightly; or,
if you're a shift worker or FIFO, in line with your shift / work patterns.
