Ceramic Glazing Sessions ...
--> Monthly glazing sessions - held on the last Sunday of each month
-> Cost - $20 per person (plus glaze & firings costs)
Note - Prices subject to change without notification
--> Studio Open Time: 10am - 4pm
-> You come at a time suitable to you - between the open times - allow an hour minimum
Learn how to decorate your pots: apply glazes (dip, pour, brush or spray), use tints, oxides, engobes, decals (transfers) and / or underglazes.
A range of Stoneware glazes & under-glazes are available for between approx. $3 - $15 per pot / size (costs are separate to glazing session).
In the 2nd firing process pots are heat treated to 1285 deg. C.
-> All the stoneware glazes available are food safe.
-> Once your pieces have had their 2nd firing, they will be food safe.
-> They will also be microwave, dishwasher, oven & freezer safe.

-> Allow approximately 15-30 mins to glaze 1 pot
-> Costs for firing of glazed pieces is included
-> Decals can be applied to greenware or bisqueware
-> You can BYO glazes and bisqueware (pieces made outside of this studio)
-> Additional glazes (etc.,) can be purchased from
Potter's Market in O'Connor (if you want to byo).
-> You choose to have your piece/s fired in:
a) an electric kiln (oxidised) or
b) "reduction fired" (reduced oxygen) in a gas kiln,
depending on the effect you are looking for.
-> Please wear old clothes & shoes you are happy to get glaze on
(most glazes wash off with water, some do not);
-> If you have longish hair, please bring something to tie hair back.
-> A separate glazing session can be arranged, by appointment.
